Printers Question

Is there a limit on how many printers you can have configured in Solaris? The reason I ask is we use RF printers for the software we run and have added 52 of these printers the problem is that I need to add about another 50 and its like we have hit a limit at 52 it wont let us add anymore. If someone could let me know if there is a work around or something that could help it would be great.

Thanks,

Exactly what happens when you try to add another printer?

On sunsolve one bug report starts off...

The customer has 572 printers defined on one sparc10 @2.5 running jetadmin. All of their 2.3 and 2.4 client systems all run lpstat fine. The 2.5.1 systems run lpstat very slow.
Bug ID 4058543

572 printers!!! And was shocked that you have more than 50. But it seems that you're nowhere near setting a record.

Here is a copy of the error message we are getting. My guess is since our /var is only 250 MB of space we are running out of space but wanted to see if it could be something else
