LOM device

All,

I am getting the following message on the system post for Solaris 9:

Unknown or badly programmed LOM device

This is a SunFire 240 server which I just built out. Is there any way to fix this problem?

Thanks,

Mike

When do you get the error? Is that the exact error?

Some things that may help:
Troubleshooting
SA Guide Sun Fire

Latest ALOM is 1.4 - download
(look for Sun Advanced Lights Out Manager)

Mike, you should be noted that V240 needs no LOM packages installed 'cos it has ALOM, not LOM device. Feel the difference! I did the same error but had cope with .

Just do pkgrm SUNWlomu SUNWlomr SUNWlomm
Then you're done!
