Question Discrepancy in /var/adm/messages

A fresh installation was done in a machine of name arenal1 on Feb 26. But in the /var/adm/messages of the machine, there are messages having date Nov 12. Also the name of the machine is also different in the messages. Can anyone please tell me the reason for this discrepancy.

When i checked the date now, it is proper only. it is showing today's date and time.

And also since the name of another one machine is appearing in that messages, i suspect that the console messages of the different machine could have come to that node. could you please conform it?

how is the /etc/syslog.conf file configured?
Can you simulate something to be captured in the /var/adm/messages and check by tail -f /var/adm/messages in another window. See if it pumps out the message using the correct date and time? Is there any synchronization to
ntp server?

@ Perderabo

The fresh installation was done with the solaris jumpstart image via network interfaces.
