solaris 8/9 sendmail stop
Hi All,

I need to stop sendmail from running on boot-up. How can I do this on Solaris 8 and 9 sparc?


Please help and that you in advance.

On Solaris 8 and 9, you should rename the /etc/rc2.d/Sxxsendmail file.

On Solaris 10, svcadm disable sendmail.

rename it to s88sendmail or _ss88sendmail etc, as long as the filename doesn't start with "S"
