How to create a media server on Solaris 10 (Music/divx) etc

Does anyone have any good experience creating a media server on solaris 10. I want it so i can view movies and play music to my ps3.

I've searched the net but keep seeing Linux info.... So I was wondering if anyone could help on the Solaris x86 side, I don't wont a virtual install of Linux on top of my Solaris install although it looks like its gonna be a last resort Smilie if nobody knows

Hi chandan_m

I just want a central media system at home with all my music, videos, and pics. I have a solaris 10 machine with tones of disk space going to waste.... Smilie
Just bought a Playstation 3 and wanted to use the server as the source for all the media.

At the moment im trying to get something called "fuppes" working on it... will let you know how it goes.

Make sure every network interface is resoveable by the media server and evrery net interface on the media is resolvable by the master.
