Hi,

I attached the CDROM device in sun 2500 system , Now i want to mount this device.
From where i can find the CDROM device.

autmounted

you don't have to mount it as long as the volume manager daemon is up. It should auto mount.

# ps -ef|grep vold

if it's not up, do this:

# /etc/init.d/volmgt stop; /etc/init.d/volmgt start

then make sure it's up

#ps -ef |grep vold

if it's there, then

# df -k

will show it mounted on the default mount point /cdrom
# 3

the cd should be automounted under "/cdrom". if you are on solaris 10 check with "rmformat" if the cdrom drive is present.
