Seeking suggestion of small storage solution

Hi,
We have 4 T5220 servers, which are currently connected to Hitachi SAN storage solution. This is old SAN, so we are going to decommission it. At this location, there is no other SAN and no other servers, which requires SAN solution. So we are thinking of a small and cheap storage solution, which can suffice this need.
Veritas 5.0 is installed on on 4 servers of T5220, which Solaris 10 installed on them. Disks are shared among two servers, with Veritas Cluster. Total SAN on all 4 servers will not exceed 6 TB.
Can somebody suggest some solution below/around $1000 ? If you can name some, I will do more research on that. If this budget is not at all sufficient, I can talk to management, to increase it and work on that.
(Please move to correct forum, if this question is intend to be there)
Regards

you could switch to iscsi... $1k could already be difficult providing 6TB in a raid config

I did more research and spoke to management. They want to have support also, from vendor and stretched budget to $6k

6K isnt much if you are looking for a true professional solution, HDS to me has always been in the top and most reliable equipment ( I still have 2 HDS 5700 OK in my home lab... and gave a 5800 to a friend who is very happy with it though completely out of support... in theory...).
Now to stay safe ( I tested...) but downst offer the performance of a SAN like what you had would be as suggested to go NAS and there I suppose for less than $6K an appliance from synology with boosted RAM might do just the job, but there ae many more out there, not to say you could try to build your own private cloud ( I tested too..) using whatever fancy disks you have and a raspberryPi to make your appliance
