Hello All ! I'am new on this forum with question

Hello everyone,
I'm new to this forum. I used Sun Solaris in the past, but not since 2011. I tested the version 11.3 of Oracle and I see more improvement.

I want to know if it's possible to wear gnome shell (gnome3.20) on solaris. Is there someone who has tried? I would love to do a project for my personal pleasure. I am comfortable with the terminal.

My question is for the advances users Solaris. Is it possible to wear gnome shell on Oracle Solaris 11.3?

thank you in advance for your response

Shows 11.3 and the corresponding Gnome packages. So, yes, it is possible with the correct packages.

Thank for your reply.

Yes I see this list of package in package manager. But my question concern gnome 3 not gnome 2.30.

I would like to know if it is possible to build gnome package 3.20 or compile for eventually used on Solaris 11.3 or next release.

best regardc
