Oracle ARG_MAX Limit

Hi,

I can able to view the limit of ARG_MAX ENV variable using the command:

Code:
getconf ARG_MAX

can we modify the value of ARG_MAX somewhere or is that common value depending upon the version of kernel ?

ARG_MAX is not an environment variable (unless you use something like:
Code:
export ARG_MAX=$(getconf ARG_MAX)

The getconf utility gets configuration data from your system. You can't change values returned by getconf without reconfiguring and rebooting your system.
