Question New born noobie with an easy question

I was told on a website that unix can help you make one. I was just wondering how and can you help me with a web page of my own.

What flavor of UNIX are you using (and version - found by looking at command output of uname -a)?

Most UNIX operating systems come with Apache software which will display your web page to a browser. The real issue is that all of this isn't a simple thing (see Setting up a presence on the World Wide Web (Suggest you read most of the chapters on this as it is very interesting)

If you are simply looking to build a web page, starting with a free site such as www.tripod.com or www.angelfire.com may be what you want to try first. Also, to learn how to build web pages, try Webmonkey (beginners)
