Sun Solaris 2.5.1 and 2.6 on Ultra 80

Hi,

as being discussed in this Thread[1] some time ago, I need the "Solaris Operating Environment Installation CD" to be able to install Solaris releases before 7 on my lovely U80. Part number is 704-7076-10.

Does anyone still have this hanging around?

Regards,
Oli

alternatively: does anyone know, what must be done, to make modify an existing netinstall server to serve an updated installation? I got quite a few archived sun patches from back when they could still be downloaded freely. Maybe it helps to just apply a kernel update manually to the install server?

I may need to do the same thing

I am trying to get Solaris 2.6 installed on an Ultra80. At startup, it errors with "cannot open kernel/unix" "Enter filename [kernel/unix]"

How are you getting S2.6 installed on an U80?Unix or Linux Image
