Hi all, in Solaris what does the output below means? Code:
-bash-3.00$ showrev Hostname: machine1 Hostid: 4540f35178c0 Release: 5.10 Kernel architecture: sun4us Application architecture: sparc Hardware provider: Sun_Microsystems Domain: Kernel version: SunOS 5.10 Generic_144488-06 -bash-3.00$ uname -r 5.10 -bash-3.00$ uname -a SunOS machine1 5.10 Generic_144488-06 sun4us sparc FJSV,GPUZC-L -bash-3.00$ Please tell me what is version here Solaris 5 or Solaris 10 what does 5.10 means. and latest Solaris version is 10 right ? in Linux it is so simpleto know OS version. No, latest is Solaris 11 released in 2011.
