When it asks for a password, then just press enter. There will be a few seconds delay, and when it asks for a username again, type ~.

Code:
# zlogin -C zone1
[Connected to zone 'zone1' console]

zone1 console login:
zone1 console login: asdf
Password:
Login incorrect
zone1 console login: ~.
[Connection to zone 'zone1' console closed]

Tried the same as mentioned but unlike your system it asks for password for whatever I enter in the Login prompt.

Code:
bpz1 console login: root
password:
Login incorrect
bpz1 console login: ~.
password:

That should work...After pressing ~ within a second you should press . in order to terminate console

Code:
zlogin -C sol1
[Connected to zone 'sol1' console]

sol1 console login: ~.
[Connection to zone 'sol1' console closed]
bash-3.00#
