Error 25:Disk Read Error

Hi Guys,
Wondering if anyone has seen/has a fix for this, when i try boot my system from CDROM at the solaris/ttya/ttyb selection menu i get stuck in a loop:

kernel$ /boot/multiboot kernel/$isadir/unix -B install_media=cdrom,console=ttya
loading "/boot/multiboot kernel/$isadir/unix -B install_media=cdrom,console=ttya"

Error 25: disk read error
booting command-list

Press any key to continue.....

I hit 'return' and it brought me back to the initial solaris/ttya/ttyb selection, I selected oracle solaris and tried to continue but it just seemed to stall for a few minutes before returning me back to the 3 options again.

Apparently this is linked to a Bug 6513165: "Error 25: Disk read error", when booting from and external usb dvd device.

Description
==============
snv_50 starts loading GRUB from the USB DVD device, but fails the open of the /boot/grub/menu.lst file on the USB DVD, and enters GRUB command line mode. Any attempt to read files from the USB DVD (e.g. cat /<TAB>) fails with "Error 25: Disk read error".

Workaround
Suggested fix:
==============
- Do not use "int13 installation check" with the el-torito boot device.
- Do not reset the disk system

Has anyone fixed this before? at the moment I have no OS only an ilom.

Cheers.
