Uninstall Apache web server

Hello,
I have a Solaris 10 and it looks like it was installed with apache. I see some files in:
Quote:
/etc/init.d/apache
/etc/apache
Since I'd like to use CSWapache2 from OpenCSW I'd like to remove the one from SUN but I don't know which package name it has.

Do you know how can I remove it ?

Thanks
R.F

I think I found it
Code:
pkgrm SUNWapchr SUNWtcatr

You have to remove these packages in order to remove Apache 1.x
Code:
SUNWapchd Apache Web Server Documentation
SUNWapchr Apache Web Server (root)
SUNWapchu Apache Web Server (usr)

SUNWtcatr is part of Tomcat. If you want to remove Tomcat too, then you have to deinstall:
Code:
SUNWtcatr Tomcat Servlet/JSP Container (root)
SUNWtcatu Tomcat Servlet/JSP Container

Usually, Apache 2 is also installed with Solaris in /usr/apache2 (configs in /etc/apache2 and files in /var/apache2). So you do not neccesarily need the Blastwave packages.
The Apache 2 Solaris packages are:
Code:
SUNWapch2d Apache Web Server V2 Documentation
SUNWapch2r Apache Web Server V2 (root)
SUNWapch2u Apache Web Server V2 (usr)

In any case, externally packaged apache distributions do not clash with the bundled ones (i.e. are installed in /opt/csw or /usr/local) so there is no need to uninstall the Solaris packages, disabling them is enough.

my guess is if you remove these packages, you'll remove some libraries you may not necessarily want to remove.

i'd stick with jlliagre's post and simply disable and remove from smf. you can also changed permissions on those binaries (in say /usr/apache2/bin ) so that only root can start them.
