SMPlayer intends to be a complete front-end forMplayer, from basic features like playing videos,DVDs, and VCDs to more advanced features likesupport for Mplayer filters and more. DVDs now start to play at chapter 1 instead of chapter 2 if using mplayer 1.0rc2 or older. A delay that could occur on startup if there were non-local files in the recent files menu was fixed. Initial support for edl files was added. The ability to automatically get information (length and name) about the files added to the playlist was added. A new option was added to the preferences to select the default deinterlacer. Support for mouse buttons XButton1 and XButton2 was added.
