SCZ 0.7 (Image-SCZ branch)
SCZ is a set of simple, portable, light-weightfile compression and decompression utilities.Simple compress and decompress subroutines can belinked and called within applications to compressor unpack data on the fly. These functions canalso be used through stand-alone utilities. Theinitial set of routines implements a losslesscompression algorithm, so restoration anddecompression are perfect.License: GNU Lesser General Public License (LGPL)Changes:
Issues with the SCZ photo image compression utilities reading binary files on some platforms were cleaned up. Unlike the core SCZ functions which implement perfect lossless compression, the image routines apply a lossy method appropriate for images. They achieve high compression ratios with little image degradation. More... |
