Nuxeo EP (Enterprise Platform) is the server-side, Java EE-based partof the Nuxeo Enterprise Content Management platform. It provides aframework and set of components to address document management andcollaboration needs, including metadata/taxonomies, versioning, lifecylemanagement, workflow, relations, searching, reporting, transformation,auditing, and retention. Its flexible extension system, based on OSGi,allows developers to quickly configure and extend the platform bycreating new components. Its default Web user interface, based on theJSF standard, uses AJAX to create a pleasant user experience. It canalso be accessed by a rich client interface through the use of Webservices, for instance using the Eclipse-based Nuxeo RCP rich clientplatform.License: GNU Lesser General Public License (LGPL)Changes:
This release works on a Java 6 JVM, which can lead to significant performance improvements (up to 100% for certain workloads, according to some internal benchmarks). Full text indexing has been improved and made faster. Some tweaks have been made to enable communication with the new (soon to be released and announced) ?LiveEdit? plugin for Internet Explorer, Firefox, and MS Word. Several bugs have been fixed.
