How do I restore the etc/shadow file

removed this from a friends solaris box via telnet.

root can not login at this point is there anyway to fix this via telnet.

I have one session open that is not root

Anyway, even if you do have a telnet session open,
if you are not root, you will not be able to "su" to root
anymore. There have been several postings on this forum
about "lost root password" and such things. You may want to
do a search on that to see what has been discussed but
at the very least, I think you're going to have to get to the
console and boot the machine up in maintenence (single user)
mode at the very least then you can create a shadow file
from the password file (no passwords initially) using
pwconv(8)...

Yea we are both studying for the solaris cert and I got a little crazy while listing files.
