Job Scheduling

I am working on UNIX AIX system, with Oracle OS.
We are not supposed to use any tools to schedule our unix shell scripts.

Basically we have to make use of Oracle tables and Shell scripts to manage dependencies, restartability, scheduling, parallelizing, etc.

If anyone has worked/ is working on such system then please guide me.

Any inputs would be appreciated

You need to get a copy of 'Oracle Job Scheduling' by Timothy Hall.

You also need to get another job in a shop where people do not create restrictions like that. Or is this homework?

This sounds fishy to me. I give up. This has to be homework or a class project.
