Hi,
I'm not sure whether this is the right place for my question. For scripting I use very often Vim because it's almost available on all unix stations. Sometimes it would be very helpful to exchange text inside Vim with other programs and the other way round! For example I want to copy inside vim 3 lines and paste them into Open Office or copy a URL from Firefox to Vim. Is that possible ??? ![]() Thanks climber |

Hi,
If You have a three button mouse, You can usually select text with Your left mouse button and paste it with the middle one. A modern Firefox most certainly also will allow You to just drag an adress, URL, or image/link to a text window, ie vim or terminal. /Lakris |
