Question using find command

using the below command to find files in my home -> test directory

Code:
find /home/karthik/test/?? -type f -exec ls -l {} \;|awk '{ printf "%20s %s %2s %s %s \n", $5,$6,$7,$8,$9}' | sort -k5,5 -k2,4

it works fine.

what changes do i need to make to view particular extensions.

(e.g) to view only .txt or .sh etc.,

thanks with anticipation

If your find has the -prune option, use that.

Or you can use -o to bypass matching files:

Code:
find /home/karthik/test/?? -name '*.txt' -o -name '*.doc' -o -type f -exec ls -l {} \;
