If you've understand the explanation above you should be able to try something out yourself. If you don't, you should read some awk tutorials. You can find some links here:

If it were simply checking within the same date it would be pretty easy.


If greater than logintime and less than logouttime, I also need to span across days, since somepeople are logged in for several days.

So I may need to check month day and year as well as the time.
