Oh boy ..

1. What (R)DBMs system do you use?
2. What file transfer options do you have (ssh,rsync,ftp,....)?
3. What should the script do? The export and transfer?

Question

i jst need a shell script in oracle 8i and 9i to export all the databases present in a single svr.

Suppose i have A svr and it consists of some databases on 8i and some on 9i, den i want a single shell script that can export all databases present in that server.

If 2 shell scripts are needed for 8i and 9i separatly den also its fine.

Plz suggest n guide

Regards
Gaurav

Question More info needed on your environment...

As zaxxon asked previously.
Where is data stored?
How do you want (or can) move data elsewhere?

You can
> cp /ora/8i/data/*.db /backup/ora/8i/data

or you can do some kind of find command
> find blah-blah -exec some-special-commands

Without specifics, it can be hard for anyone here to understand what you need. This is especialy so for those of us without an Oracle system and thus the knowledge of how that data is stored.

So, the more details, the better.
