the $ pompt goes away and the unix is on wait state.

There are too many free variables here to really give a good guess.

Are other users on your system able to send mail?

Do you have a mail subsystem installed?

Does it work? (Look for logs if you have access to them.)

Can you run the mailq command? Does it show the messages?

hi era

no one on that box is bale to send the mail.

$ mailq
can not chdir(/var/spool/mqueue/): Permission denied
Program mode requires special privileges, e.g., root or TrustedUser.

I got this when i ran mailq command.

what should i do now?

thanks
