When to use Sed | Awk | Grep

Can someone help me in understanding when to use SED, AWK and GREP

i have a file with the followin contents


one two three
four five six
seven eight nine

now,i need to print only the line which has "two" in the second field...using AWK
the output shud be
one two three....
