Smile pERL SCRIPT FOR MONITORING DATE/TIME STAMPS FOR START AND STOP OF APPLICAION IN A LOG

I need a script that can monitor an application logfile in Unix for the start and stop date/times and if the difference between the two date/time frames is 30 minutes or more to send message?

Can anyone assit me with this?

It will be greatly appreciated.

OK. I'm not sure what you are wanting or expecting then. If you have no perl experience why do you want to use perl? What do you have experience with?

Hello FREDDIE091970,

Please mind your caps lock key. It is considered impolite to type in caps. Thanks.
