Dear All,
i have a file that contains, FROM_DATE: 06-08-2007 00:00:00 TO_DATE: 06-08-2007 23:59:59 Total number of lines: 6874154 in another file,the contain is, FROM_DATE: 06-08-2007 00:00:00 Total number of lines: 874154 alltime i want to find the particular string Total number of lines: and want to extract whatever is there after that string. can any body plz help me... i dont want grep "Total number of lines:" | cut -f -d coz the file will never come same... i want to search for a particular string for any type of file and then want to extract the data after that string Thnx regards, pankaj |
