Red face DATE display Problem
I have write
echo `date +%y%m%d`

but it will give


070529.

why I am not getting 070530.
I have Make any syntactical error?
please help.

which flavour of unix you are using and which shell???

i tried same command

output

echo `date +%y%m%d`
070530

The displayed time is based on the clock settings in the UNIX server. Might be the server should be located in US so that it display as 070529
