What is the format of the flat file ?
How would this xml snippet look in a flat file format ?
Code:
<section>
  <key>something</key>
  <key1>something more</key1>
</section>
One format that I am aware of is the windows .ini format. The output would become
Code:
[section]
key=something
key1=something more

Not sure about the exact requirement, but you could check XMLgawk:
