PERL DBI module install
We ran into an issue trying to install DBI and DB2 modules for perl for AIX from the link

http://www-306.ibm.com/software/data/db2/perl/

We tried to install the DBI module using

bash# perl -MCPAN -e 'install DBI'
command. However we ended up with the following error.

Stop.
  /usr/bin/make test -- NOT OK
Running make install
  make test had returned bad status, won't install without force
Question:
How do we force an install of these modules using the "force" option to install the DBI package?

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

    I see you're using perl 5.008 on aix-thread-multi, okay.
    Remember to actually *read* the README file!
    Use  'make' to build the software (dmake or nmake on Windows).
    Then 'make test' to execute self tests.
    Then 'make install' to install the DBI and then delete this working
    directory before unpacking and building any DBD::* drivers.

Running make install
  make test had returned bad status, won't install without force
Anybody have any ideas how to overcome these errors without having to install more perl modules, since they seem to say perl modules "RPC::PlServer" module is optional.

Add the 'force' keyword before 'install'.

'force' keyword before install
cbkihong,

We have tried the "force" keyword in the install command, and we still seem to run into the same issue as before.
Basically the "make test" returns failure and the installation does not proceed further. Can you suggest how we might overcome this situation? Thanks for your help.

Wait,

I just found out that we need db2 client installed on the server that needs to be of version 7.2 or higher. We have only 7.1
