Regarding Debugging

Hi,
If we want to debug a shell script, then set -vx has to be included in the begining of the script. Just i want to know what purpose -vx is used.

More help from the online manual pages:

"man ksh" says

Code:
           -v    Print shell input lines as they are read.

           -x    Print commands and their arguments as  they  are
                 executed.
