non-variables with $
I am writing a csh script and I need to echo a word that starts with $ and is not a variable. How do I do that?

echo '$use single quotes in csh'

echo \$it is even possible without single quotes

Also adding a '\' just before the $ will do.

say you want to print $hello
it will be
