Need help in backing up of databases.
Hi Everyone,
I am new to DBA stuff. I wonder if anyone can help me. Task is that, I have 10 databases and need to take backups of all the databases using data pump in Unix/Linux, compress them using gzip and use cron to schedule the job twice a day. Appreciate if anyone can help me in this. I was trying this for a week but no luck. Thanks, |

Hi,
may you please show on the post what you were trying 'till now, so we can figure out where you got so far. Further, you mentioned datapump, so I can assume you're talking about Oracle DB: in the future please detail the software you are referring to. If you need help with Oracle datapump you may begin with having a look at: http://www.oracle-base.com/articles/...ataPump10g.php http://www.oracle-base.com/articles/...ents_11gR1.php see ya fra Last edited by frappa; 01-16-2012 at 04:21 PM.. |
