print queue monitoring
Hi Guys,
I am new to this forum. i need your help. I am trying to wirte a script for queue monitoring under aix.I would like to get status of each queue and number of jobs on each queue.Can you please guide me?. Thanks,

i am using this command but it returns status of all queues.I need to pass queue name and threshold value for that queue from file. is it possible to get total number of jobs in one queue on different devices.
Actually i need to write a script that will monitor queue status and number of jobs and if number jobs are higher than threshold than send a mail.Thanks and waiting for your reply.

Hi,
Can any one tell me how i can find total number of jobs waiting on a queue. lpstat gives me status of queue and list of jobs waiting.Is there any way i can find total number of jobs on one queue regardless how many devices are connected to this queue. thanks sag
