Not sure if possible to solve when unsure YYYYMMD or YYYYMDD

What would be the following: 2008111?
Is it November 1, 2008
or January 11, 2008

My Dear,

You can use the below command and so on to get the date/time as you wish:

example 1:
date '+DATE: %m/%d/%y%nTIME:%H:%M:%S'

generates as output

DATE: 08/01/76

TIME: 14:45:05

example 2:
date '+20%y/%m/%d'
2009/04/08
