Can't paste in command line.

Hello. I've made a simple script which asks the user to input a hash and then runs a command that replaces the variable $hash with what the user inserted. The ting is that when the programm asks for input I can't paste anything there..! any clues?? Smilie

We need to know more bout your system, on what you work (terminal type...) etc...

If this is in X11, try pasting with the middle mouse button instead of ctrl-v. Most terminals will consider ctrl-v to be a terminal key sequence and not the "paste" hotkey.

I'm running Backtrack 4 and working on its terminal.
I press right click on the command line and selecting "paste". Nothing happens.... Smilie

I don't have a middle click... I'm using touchpad... There has to be another way than middle click. Are there any settings in the console that disable paste? Maybe i did something like that accidentaly...
