Help with stop/start Shell Script.

Hi All,
I would like to develop a shell script for stop & start an application server (1-4) on Solaris box. Here are the user requirements for this task.
1. User will input the option which server they wish to stop.
2. Will clear cache files from specific location.
3. User will input the option which server they wish to start.
Can any of one help me out here to achieve above task with using shell script?
Regards,
Venga.

looks pretty much like homework... i'll close the thread unless you give us prove it is not. (why you need the script; and show some of your own work).

if it is homework, we've a special forum for that, too!

greets,
