Smbpasswd

I tried to ecexute smbpasswd thro a script in a RedHat machine with smbpasswd version 2.2.

The command i used is "smbpaswd -a <user> <passwd>"

But with version 3.0 the above command fails.

Can anyone help me.

Can you paste o/p of command
#smbstatus |head -2

I think smbpasswd should work, Please check your command once again for typo, ie: smbpaswd ---->> smbpasswd

Awadhesh
