S.A.T.A.N Network security tool

SATAN, this stands for System Administrator Tools Analysis Network, it is a penetration testing tool. It was created by Dan Farmer, it scans networks looking for well known vulnerabilities.

SARA is used more nowadays.

There is also Nessus.

You can get more information and download security tools here http://www.ciac.org/ciac/ToolsUnixNetSec.html
