Firewall solution

Guys, we have a sonicwall firewall set to control our bandwidth, but its does not allow any kind of monitoring, so i think of setting a *NIX firewall before it, whats your recommendation about it? which *nix software based firewall free and reliable enough to start with?

I like Smoothwall.. depends on how much traffic you are going to run though.

pfSense is very powerful and has a nice web interface.

Yes I am totally agree with Goossen that pfsense is very powerful interface. I am not but a friend of mine have a wonderful experience with that. I hope your problems have solved but this post help all the others whom have facing same problem.

pfSense.

I think I've tried just about all of the freeware firewalls and pfSense is by far my favorite.
