in my enviroment we get nagios logs reported. these are like this:

I'll look into it today when I reach office .. and I am not much aware what stratum is, will read about it too ..

any suggestions to resolve this ? OR any links to read? Please dont point me to...

Honestly speaking, I never turned off local clock .. how to do that ? and what would be the impact of doing this ??

but there are spaces before kernel .. its like " kernel ......" , and these spaces wont be constant for all the servers. any way to ignore these spaces ??

just one thing, it adds parameter "elevator=noop" to those lines too which are commented. Is it possible to add this parameter to only those lines...

The command with argument " -i" is working fine on local system but not working when I try to put it in my script. Here:

#!/bin/bash

GRUB="/home/wadhwaso/test"...

cat file | head -n 500 | tail -n 200

A very simple idea but not for random lines.

I doesn't matter if I place this parameter in new line ??

I searched and found "echo -n" and "printf" are solution for this, but they are not
here:
