I am using SUSE OS and want to check internet connection...
I have tried:
ping -c3 google.com
The output i have got is:
Unknown host google.com

does it means that i do not have Internet...

So,it means telnet package has been installed in my OS then

Hi,
While executing the following command i am getting output as command not found.
iostat
output: command not found

Also, man iostat is displaying "NO Manual Entry"

Why is it so?

I think you are right ftp server is not installed because i tried :

rpm -qa|grep -i "*ftp*"

i didn't get any output.

But still my doubt is if ftp is refused...
