PCI Express 1x HBA for parallel SCSI in Openserver 6

I'm floundering here trying to locate a PCI-E 1x HBA that will support an external tape drive in SCO Openserver 6. I was unable to find anything that would work in the compatible hardware list and a call to Adaptec confirmed that PCI-X would've been a better option for the risers in the Dell 2950 III server. LSI sent me a series of links to products that all have SCO OS 5.0.x support.

A technical article I was directed to (Which SCSI SAS (Serial Attached SCSI) Host Bus controllers and SAS RAID controllers are known to have driver support for SCO OpenServer 6.0.0 and UnixWare 7.1.4?) discusses only SAS HBA's. I'm fairly certain I'm looking for parallel SCSI and NOT SAS.

I feel that there is a strong correlation between SCO OS 6 and Uniware 7.1.4 as far asa hardware drivers go, is this a good assumption?

ANY help would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you in advance,

--Steve

Don't ya hate to reply to your own posts?

We're replacing the riser to a variety that provides PCI-X slots.

FWIW - It would appear that Unixware 7.x drivers are cross-compatible with Openserver 6.
