How to remove date and page header from a printout

I have some HP4+ and HP5 printers printing from Unixware 7.1.4. The problem is that they print a page header with the date and page number. I can't seem to figure out how to stop this. These headers through the pagination off.

try this:
scoadmin -> printer -> print manager
then select printer that you have, and find banner from menus and change it from 1 to 0

The file in /usr/spool/lp/admins/lp/interfaces/(Printer name) might need to edited. There is a option in that file for turning off the banner page. The option is set initally to "nobanner=no" if no banner is set to yes (nobanner=yes) then no banner will be generated from Unix.

If this printer is networked using the hpnp software, this file will be in /usr/spool/lp/admins/lp/interfaces/model.orig.

Also if this printer is on the network with a HP Jetdirect card, the problem might not be unix at all. HP jetdirect cards (external or internal) have a banner page option built into them. If you telnet to the ip of the printer server and do a '/' command, you can the print servers settings. The last line will read banner page = enabled. If you then type banner:0 you will turn off the banner in the print server. Exit and the settings will be saved
