SCO 506 error Socket: All ports in use

Hello there .

I have a unix box 5.0.06 , this is the error (Socket: All ports in use ).

Can anyone tellme how to resolve this problem.Smilie

Reboot...
Then to solve the issue:
Is this the first time? How many files do you have in /tmp, /var/tmp ?
This may happen when you have some trouble on your network and have loads of PC impacted: they will reconnect before the used port is closed, at a time you have no more ports free...
To see which sockets are causing trouble try something like

netstat -A|grep FIN

needs adapting, this is what I would do on a HP-UX..

I remembered writing a script to remove those sockets, but cant find it.. still looking
