I haven't installed 5.0.6 in 8 years, but these two motherboards run 5.0.7 and 6.0.0.
ASUS P5G41T-LX PLUS - uses socket 775 cpu.

INTEL DH61DL - uses I3 processor, but the onboard NIC is not supported, use an INTEL EXPI9400PT card.

Hi JGT,
So I looked into the specs of the board I am using. It is using the G41/ICH7 chipset, like the ASUS board you said you have used to install 5.0.7. I was wondering if you have ran into any problems installing 5.0.6 with SATA on that board?

Has anyone tried to do this kind of boot/install method?

So I did a wd.debug=[i] command at the boot prompt before going into installation. The statuses popped up as shown in the attachment.

Does anyone know what any of that means? It seems that it can see my hdd and my cd-rom drive. But i still get that Error 22 after choosing the controller location for my cd-rom drive.

I also have another question. Whenever i try to install 5.0.7, it never goes smoothly. For some reason I get problems exactly as I do in 5.0.6, however if i unplug the system and then replug it in, I can then install just fine. Is that just the hardware?
