Server Configuration

hi,

I am new to this forum as well new to unix . i also wish to know the commands to find out the configuration of our server.

i did try these commands

uname -a and it gave this

unixware agk2 5 7.1.4 i386 x86at sco unix - svr5.

i did try out these commands to get more info on

cpu info---- cat/proc/cpuinfo

memory ----- free -m

mother board details ----- biosdecode / dmidecode

hard disk ------ smartctl

but these commands were not accepted


could any one pl let me know the correct command to be used to get these above details.

i think most of the commands you've used are for linux... have a look here:

i did try hwconfig
hw
hwconfig -h
swconfig

it all gives the same error

did you run the commands as user "root"? are the commands inside your PATH?

check:

echo $PATH
