RedHat Interface card link goes down and recovers frequently
Hi Experts,

I have an issue where the interface card went down for like four times in last one week in redhat linux server. Every time it goes down, it comes back.

Code:
2014 Oct 21 07:22:14 <hostname> [err] kernel: [19088393.545700] nx_nic[pubeth4]: NIC Link is down
2014 Oct 21 07:22:21 <hostname> [err] kernel: [19088400.384068] nx_nic[pubeth4]: NIC Link is up
2014 Oct 21 07:22:32 <hostname> [err] kernel: [19088411.781339] nx_nic[pubeth4]: NIC Link is down

With the above messages, the NIC link goes down and comes up. I wanted to check further if the NIC is faulty.

Please advise on the same. Thank you in advance!!!

Firstly, this seems to be a RedHat issue? Posting on the correct forum will mean that the right experts are much more likely to see it.

NOTE TO MODERATOR: Please move this to RedHat.

Also, have you searched the RedHat forum for this issue? I feel sure I've seen this discussed before (on the RedHat forum).

Is the server a HP system?
