I think it's been said, but to elaborate.

Add a new lun to the volume group

Code:

# pvcreate /dev/mpath/mpathX

Add to the Volume Group

Code:

# vgextend VolgroupX /dev/mpath/mpathX

Increase the size of the logical volume

Code:

# lvextend -L+50G /dev/VolGroupX/LogVolX

Increase the file system

Code:

# resize2fs /dev/VolGroupX/LogVolX

This is a way to add space without taking the filesystem offline.

As always, do a backup first.
